SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM+ FOR GIRLS is a free program which focuses on the areas of SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, THE ARTS AND MATHEMATICS (STEAM). This year's SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM+ runs from 8:30 to 11:40 a.m. for GIRLS in grades five to nine and their parents. Expertise in STEAM fields promotes career inventiveness, scientific discovery and efficiency in the ways things are done, while also opening up new job and economic opportunities for girls. Jam packed with fun, hands-on STEAM activities.

This free, self-paced online course is designed for North Carolina parents, caregivers, and professionals. The course focuses on Competitive Integrated Employment to help youth with disabilities build independence, gain job skills, and become active community members. Participants will learn how youth can work in the community, earn minimum wage or higher, and build a future after high school. The training covers benefits of working, addresses common fears and myths, and shares practical ways to remove barriers to getting and keeping a job. Even students with significant disabilities can succeed at work with the right supports. Training is accessible for 3 weeks from March 9-April 6, 2026. Certification of completion for 2 hours will be provided to participants who complete the training.

Learn about fun and engaging STEAM Summer camps for kids entering Kindergarten through 9th grade. Adults can learn about camps, ask teachers questions, and see sample activities from popular camps. Kids are welcome to play in the STEAM Play Space while parents attend the open house.
