STEM Camp

Monday through Friday, June 15th through July 17th. 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM daily. No camp on June 19th and July 3rd. Activities include STEAM Career Exploration, Robotics & Engineering, 3-D Printing, Field trips, and Swimming. Breakfast and lunch provided daily. Transportation to localized bus stops available but not guaranteed. Priority enrollment to economically disadvantaged families. Funded by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant and the Paula Tolliver Appalachian OHIO STEM Fund.

A free, hands-on STEM experience with Gaming World theme. Week-long immersive camp including coding, creativity, campus innovation, workshops, experiments, and real-world STEM challenges. Students stay in dorms with 24/7 supervision, participate in pool parties, pizza nights, battle bot competitions, e-sports and gaming nights. Currently full with waitlist available.

STEM Fest

STEM Fest is a celebration of all things science, technology, engineering and math. This free event features more than 100 exhibits, speakers, and demonstrations designed to inspire and engage guests of all ages with opportunities for STEM learning. It is one of the largest free family events in northern Illinois. The event draws about 3,500 attendees annually and includes interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, robots, drones, and educational demonstrations from NIU departments and community groups.
