Night Owl Star Party

Come to our Night Owl Star Party at one of the premier dark-sky sites in the East! The focus of this event is firmly on the nightly observing, providing an opportunity to share the wonders of the night sky. During this event, campus will be treated as a dark site after sun down, and only red lights will be permitted. Registration is limited to 100 guests and covers Thursday afternoon through Monday morning. Camping, water, shower/toilet access included. Meal plan available separately. Lowell Observatory: Orbits Curiosity Middle School Camp - Astro-Instrumentation

A fast-paced, three-day program running from Wednesday to Friday, 4 pm to 10 pm! Designed for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders, this condensed format delivers all the excitement of astronomical research. Through hands-on experiments, nighttime observing, and real data collection, campers step into the role of a scientist. Students will learn how to navigate the night sky, operate telescopes and other scientific instruments. Activities include team-building, hiking, drawing, playing games, and learning about instruments used in Astronomical Photography.
