The 2026 Mid-Atlantic Compact Wildfire Training Academy will be held at Garrett College in McHenry, Maryland from June 8-12, 2026. This academy has an active registration website with a one-month special registration period for all full-time DOF personnel. Full-time DOF personnel need supervisory approval and should contact Chad Briggs for a special code providing free registration and early access. Regular open enrollment begins March 9, 2026.

Beat the heat and learn how to keep your cool! This hands-on summer camp introduces you to the essentials of residential air conditioning maintenance. You'll discover how to safely clean units, change filters, check temperature splits, and spot potential issues before they become big problems. Plus, you'll learn what a healthy A/C system should look and sound like when it's running. Perfect for anyone curious about HVAC and ready to build practical skills for life! Please note that all students must wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Safety equipment will be provided. Parents should register their child using the child's name and date of birth. A waiver will be emailed to the email address listed on the student account and must be completed before the first class.

Two-week pilot program where 16 high school students (Ages 13-18) train hands-on with real industrial automation equipment in a safety-first environment. In a small-cohort setting, students build practical skills through lab based instruction and project work. Participants may earn at least one industry recognized credential. Students will be home July 24th-26th. Session runs July 19th - 31st.
