Summer Ventures Master Teacher 2026

Summer Ventures Master Teacher position at UNCW to assist with non-credit STEM courses for high school students. Program runs from June 21 - July 18, 2026. Master teachers will support faculty in course preparation and implementation, maintain safe classroom/lab environments, supervise student research projects, and manage student behaviors. Requires Bachelor's degree, current high school STEM teaching experience, First Aid/CPR certification, and valid driver's license. Work hours are 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM, Monday-Friday.

STEM for Rising 9th and 10th Graders (STEM 9/10)

A 12-day intensive STEM program for rising 9th and 10th graders (ages 13-15) featuring hands-on team research projects, experiments, and design-build challenges. Students choose from various STEM courses combining rigorous academics with laboratory/field exercises. The program includes opportunities to work with Brown graduate students and culminates in final presentations. Students receive a Digital Certificate of Completion and Course Performance Report upon successful completion. Daily schedule includes morning academics (8:30-11:20am), afternoon research projects twice per week, supervised evening activities, and structured residential life on Brown's campus.
