Tales from the Great Outdoors

Listen to captivating children's stories that ignite a love for the great outdoors, meet talented children's books authors, and get creative with hands-on activities that support literacy skill development. Representatives from Basics DuPage, Glen Ellyn Public Library, and Warrenville Public Library will share tips for nurturing literacy at home and accessing valuable early childhood resources. Children's books readings take place every 30 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and noon. Crafts, activities, and local literacy resources available for the duration of the event. A selection of children's books will be available for sale.

Ms. Madkin's Literacy Class

Ms. Madkin's Literacy Class is a joyful, interactive experience that nurtures early reading skills through movement, music, and play. Created especially for children ages 3-6, this class invites young learners and their caregivers to explore stories, letters, sounds, and language in a fun, welcoming environment. This month's theme is Earth Day. Kids are encouraged to wear green, blue, white, and brown. Through shared reading, singing, dancing, imaginative play, and hands-on activities, children build vocabulary, listening skills, and early literacy foundations while developing confidence and creativity.
