FREE Watersheds & Rain Barrels-Duquesne

This free workshop teaches participants how to harvest rainwater from their roofs, store it, and use it in the landscape. Participants will learn watershed protection and conservation practices to reduce contribution to sewer and stormwater systems, flooding, and polluted urban runoff. Registrants receive a FREE 55-gallon FreeGarden rain barrel and downspout divertor while supplies last. Made possible through the support of the American Water Charitable Foundation. Watershed Awareness & Rain Barrels at Construction Junction

Workshop participants will learn how to harvest rainwater from their roofs, store it, and use it in the landscape. You will also learn how to reduce your contribution to combined sewer overflow (CSO), flooding, and polluted urban runoff by learning how to practice watershed protection and conservation in their own backyards. Registrants may also choose to purchase a FreeGarden RAIN barrel with 55-gallon capacity. Pittsburgh Water offers a one-time credit on your stormwater fee for installing a rain barrel that's at least 50-gal.
