The Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® event hosted at the Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield. CRM is a wellness and prevention program. Event runs from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm local time.

We welcome students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grades to the 'Explorations in Health Careers' summer camp. Learn how our motto - in purpose for Health - guides you into choices that suit you best! Your current interests in the natural sciences, social sciences and others, helps you to explore becoming a physical therapist, medical laboratory scientist, nutritionist, health imaging specialist, public health professional, exercise scientist, health care coordinator, environmental health and safety professional, physician assistant, physician or other health professional. Through interactive hands-on problem-solving, and real-world health scenarios, participants develop essential leadership skills in values, roles, responsibility and communication, setting the stage for successful future health care pursuits. Registration opens on February 1, 2026. Cancellation Policy: Full refund will be provided up to 2 weeks before camp begins. Cancellations after June 8th will not receive a refund.

One-week on-campus pre-college program for high school students (grades 9-12) to explore college majors including Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Psychology & Neuroscience, Public Health, Pre-Med, Pre-Nursing, Pre-Health, Clinical Laboratory Science, and many other STEM and non-STEM tracks. Students choose two different tracks during the week. Program runs 9:00am-4:30pm daily, commuter only.

A week-long intensive program where high school students explore climate change issues through the lens of science, public health, medicine, economics, and policy. Students choose an Action Focus (Climate Science, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Justice, Global Health, Healthcare, or Policy & Advocacy) and develop a Community Action Plan. The program includes workshops with climate influencers, guest speakers, field trips around Boston, visits to Harvard campus museums and the Boston Museum of Science. Students receive a Certificate of Completion from Harvard Chan C-CHANGE. Accommodations are at Simmons University residence halls.
