STEM in Bloom: The Science of Spring

Celebrate the first day of spring with STEM in Bloom, an all-day program where young scientists and engineers explore the science of the changing seasons, plant growth, balance in nature, and the engineering marvels inspired by springtime. Students will engage in hands-on, project-based lessons that combine environmental science, engineering design, and creative technology. Through these activities, learners will investigate how sunlight, temperature, and ecosystems change during spring, build models that mimic natural systems, and design innovative ways to protect and celebrate our planet. Classes are nonrefundable, but rescheduling is available for missed classes.

Grow and Know with CEARhub

This is a hands-on gardening program that connects students to science, creativity, environmental stewardship. Students will explore plant life cycles, sustainability, and regional planting knowledge. Projects include: Seedling Creation - Monitoring growth conditions, journaling changes, comparing crop types; Learning Planting Seasons - Crop calendars, warm vs. cool weather plants; Papermaking with Garden Vegetables - Using garden scraps to make decorative, textured paper.
