Preschool Pioneers

Reading, singing, movement, and hands-on experiences; Preschool Pioneers has it all! A unique program designed for children aged 3-5 and their caregivers for fun activities with each week focusing on a topic related to the museum's exhibits, and siblings are welcome to attend. NHMU Family Seasonal Science: Emerald Equinox

Celebrate the Emerald Equinox with family-friendly science and seasonal fun! Explore light and rainbows with a build-your-own spectroscope, make pressed flower sun catchers or bookmarks, and enjoy hands-on seasonal activities--a festive way to welcome spring with creativity and discovery. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. All participants must register. Museum Admission: If you and your child(ren) would like to stay and tour the Museum before and/or after a program, you may do so by purchasing Museum admission. Museum tickets are not included in our program/workshop fees unless stated. Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, email programs@nhmu.utah.edu with your confirmation/order number, no later than two weeks prior to the program start date/time. South Africa Institute

Experience the best wild lands that South Africa has to offer, from game reserves and grasslands to mountains and wetlands to beaches and estuaries. Search for the 'Big 5' species of wildlife, take bush walks with safari rangers, explore Golden Gate Highlands National Park and Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretive Centre, and cruise for hippos and crocs in coastal wetlands.
