Learn about the properties of waves, magnetism, sound, light, and many more as we explore God's creation in the natural world. Each session will support the topic through hands-on application while students collaborate together to solve problems and design experiments. Open to students ages 11 to 18. This is a 3-hour program scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The program includes three hands-on, interactive sessions covering Year 4 topics: Properties of Heat/Temperature, Properties of Magnetism, and Properties of Electricity. The Explore Days program is on a four-year rotating schedule. Includes all scheduled events and parking fee.

Step into Color Factory, a playful preschool camp inspired by the ever-changing patterns of kaleidoscopes. Young learners will explore light and color through hands-on discovery, building curiosity and creativity while experimenting with how colors move and mix! Adults must accompany participants.

Inspired by the popular 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' film, this camp will spark fierce friendship, fashion, and experimentation. Experiment with SODA POP, light and sound, and get creative in the lab. Explore GOLDEN artifacts, decode lyrics, choreograph a dance routine, and team up to train like a true warrior! LIMITED AVAILABILITY.

Campers explore how light, reflection, symmetry, and patterns work by building and experimenting with kaleidoscopes, connecting physics and visual art in a spring-inspired museum experience. LIMITED AVAILABILITY.

Celebrate the Emerald Equinox with family-friendly science and seasonal fun! Explore light and rainbows with a build-your-own spectroscope, make pressed flower sun catchers or bookmarks, and enjoy hands-on seasonal activities--a festive way to welcome spring with creativity and discovery. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. All participants must register. Museum Admission: If you and your child(ren) would like to stay and tour the Museum before and/or after a program, you may do so by purchasing Museum admission. Museum tickets are not included in our program/workshop fees unless stated. Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, email programs@nhmu.utah.edu with your confirmation/order number, no later than two weeks prior to the program start date/time. You will receive a refund less a 10% fee. Cancellations made less than one week before the program will not receive a refund.

Campers will explore light and sound using the Project Lead the Way Launch module. Learn how light and sound travel over distances, design communication devices, and explore stars in the planetarium. Daily drop-off 12:30-1:00 PM, pick-up 4:30-5:00 PM. Activities include exploring sound with various objects, light reflection and refraction experiments, building communication devices, and planetarium observations.

Kick off the summer with exhilarating exploration into the fundamental forces and phenomena shaping our universe. From electrifying experiments with gravity and motion to mind-bending studies of light and sound, campers embark on a journey of discovery. This new week combines elements of former modules 'Energy and Motion' and 'Lights, Sounds, Science', along with new physics content! Camp runs 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily.
