Spring Walk on Rich Mountain

Come spend a (most likely) misty spring morning in the Ouachita Oak Montane Forest on top of the second highest peak in Arkansas with Virginia McDaniel (Forest Service botanist) and Jennifer Ogle (University of Arkansas Herbarium). Rich Mountain is known for its sky island forest of stunted oak woodlands and rich herbaceous vegetation. Level of Difficulty: Trail will be rugged and rocky so bring some sturdy walking shoes. RSVP Requested: Text Virginia McDaniel at 828-545-2062. This trip is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Native Plant Society and UARK Herbarium.
