A virtual, introductory program for Michigan high school sophomores and juniors that introduces students to careers in cancer care, cancer research, and oncology-related fields. Includes hands-on exposure to genetic drosophila research through partnership with eCLOSE institute, patient case study projects, faculty lectures, panel discussions, and skill-building workshops. Features optional on-campus orientation bootcamp on June 15-16, two weeks of virtual programming July 13-24, mentorship from oncology professionals, at-home lab kits, and optional monthly enrichment activities during the academic year. Students receive a $500 stipend upon completion.
