Public Planetarium Film: Undiscovered Worlds

Do Earth-like planets exist elsewhere in the universe? Travel to distant stars and fly up close to exotic planets. Experience the science shifting our perspective on humanity's place in the cosmos. Humans have long imagined exotic and intriguing worlds beyond our solar system. However, in recent years, science fiction has become science reality. Undiscovered Worlds reveals the methods used by astronomers to identify these alien wanderers, and explores the idea of what it means to be in a habitable zone around a star. Recommended for: Families and all ages. Length: 27 minutes. All tickets are open seating. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Online registration closes 4:00PM on 3/27. Walk-ins welcome, dependent on availability - Exact cash only accepted. Food/drink and strollers are not allowed in the Planetarium. FSU campus parking pass required.

Science at the Saunders

Science @ the Saunders is an exciting new event series hosted in MOSI's state-of-the-art Saunders Planetarium. This ongoing program invites guests to explore the universe through captivating research talks, immersive star tours, and engaging Q&A sessions. Each session focuses on a unique topic in science, from exoplanets and black holes to star formation and cosmic phenomena. Guests will begin with a guided star tour under our digital dome, followed by a short presentation by a guest speaker. The evening wraps up with an open Q&A. Schedule: 15 min star tour, 20 min research talk, 10 min Q&A. Duration: 1 hour (5:45PM - 7:30PM). Topic TBD.
