Tell Me More: Hope and Science In-Person

Scientists are supposed to focus on the facts, right? Does this focus on the facts rule out hope? Is there a time or place for hope in good science? A panel of WVU scientists will share their ideas about the place of hope in science. Light refreshments will be available. Sign Language Interpreting and Captioning Services are available by request - contact LibraryDeanOffice@mail.wvu.edu at least 3 business days prior to event. No registration is required, but is encouraged for planning purposes.

Business Ethics Case Study Competition

A cross-disciplinary experience that teaches students the positive impact of balancing mission and money through real-world case studies. Students interview business leaders, develop cases, and present recommendations to a panel of judges. Teams of 3-5 students from area high schools participate in this competition that highlights the significance of a strong moral compass in leadership decisions.

Biomedical Research Bootcamp (Grades 10-12)

A research-focused course at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus for high school students (grades 10-12). The program includes introduction to biomedical laboratory techniques, visits to cutting edge facilities, exploring the ethics of biomedical research, learning about research careers, meeting scientists, and developing scientific research proposals.
