Are you a teen looking for a place to practice and share your writing? Then join us for the Little Falls Teen Writers' Club! Every first and third Thursday evening, you can join us and hang out with other teens who share your love of words, and maybe even pick up a tip or two! We usually start with a writing challenge and occasionally play word games. We share wisdom from famous writers, and sometimes bring in writer guests to talk about the paths they've taken. Share if you want to; there's no obligation, no grades, no tests. No attendance taken; drop in as often or as little as you like. Mostly, it's about having fun around writing. No matter what you prefer to write, where you live, or go to school, as long as you are in grades 7-12 and a parent or guardian gives the OK, you are welcome. You will need to be signed into Zoom to attend this program via the web.

Join up with published teen writers and share your ideas and prose while you learn from your peers that you, too, can improve your writing and be published. This program is for individuals 13-18 years of age. You will learn the essential mechanics of the craft of writing including story plot, character development and dialogue, adding tension, pacing, and setting. At every meeting, your efforts will be supported by peer critiques and suggestions. The instructor has led the club for seven years with members having 100+ stories published.

The 2026 Ocean Awareness Contest - 'Your Story, Our Ocean: How Our Ocean Sustains, Protects, and Inspires Us' - encourages students aged 11-18 to explore the many ways our ocean sustains, protects, and inspires us. Applicants share how the ocean has shaped their story through works of visual art, creative writing, poetry, spoken word, music, dance, film, and more for a chance to win cash awards of up to $1,000. Open from September 15, 2025 to June 8, 2026.

Five-day screenwriting intensive covering script structure, idea generation, writing habits, creativity development, characterization, and the business of screenwriting. Students develop multiple short scripts. Residential camp with all food, lodging, and supplies included.

Love to dress up in costumes and act out stories? Join us for a week of play-writing, set design, costume-making, acting, and more! Daily schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15AM-4:30PM. Campers required to bring own lunch. Weekly showcase on Friday at 4pm.

Suit up, power up, and step into your favorite worlds! Read and write your own comic books, create original characters, design costumes and props, and bring epic adventures to life. Two-week camp for rising 6th-9th graders. June 29-July 10, 2026, Monday-Friday. Students write brand-new plays using games, movement, playwriting exercises and writing prompts to create unique original short plays. Teams revise, rehearse and prepare for performance. Camp ends with final sharing.
