This free, self-paced online course is designed for North Carolina parents, caregivers, and professionals. The course focuses on Competitive Integrated Employment to help youth with disabilities build independence, gain job skills, and become active community members. Participants will learn how youth can work in the community, earn minimum wage or higher, and build a future after high school. The training covers benefits of working, addresses common fears and myths, and shares practical ways to remove barriers to getting and keeping a job. Even students with significant disabilities can succeed at work with the right supports. Training is accessible for 3 weeks from March 9-April 6, 2026. Certification of completion for 2 hours will be provided to participants who complete the training.

This virtual speaker series session focuses on dental care for children and youth with special healthcare needs. The session will cover common dental challenges, tips for preventing dental anxiety and sensory sensitivities, home oral health care management, strategies for effective dental appointments, and resources for specialized dental care. Designed as a lunch-break friendly session with Q&A opportunity.
