Science on Tap March - New Mexico's Raptors

Science on Tap is an informal lecture series featuring relaxed presentations by scientists and researchers on engaging science topics, with beer available from Bombs Away Beer Company. This month features live raptors from Hawks Aloft including Red-tailed Hawks, Swainson's Hawks, Peregrine Falcons, Prairie Falcons, and American Kestrels. The presentation covers raptor behaviors, survival strategies, and species interactions in New Mexico. Doors open at 5:30 PM, presentation begins at 6:00 PM. Must be 21+ to attend.

Camp Cape Romain

Week-long summer camp for ages 8-11 at Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. Daily activities include seining & crabbing, hiking maritime forest trails on Bulls Island, birds of prey flight demonstration, kayaking, Sewee Center activities (meeting native reptiles, fishing, hiking), swimming and shell seeking, environmental stewardship, native plants study, and birding. Campers meet at Park West Recreation Fields playground each morning and take Coastal Expeditions van to Sewee Visitor & Environmental Center as basecamp. 2026 registration opens February 4 at 10 a.m.
