The Student Impact Challenge celebrates student achievement and agency in solving the most pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges by providing a platform for high school students to showcase their innovative ideas. What if we raised teens to lead change, not just pass tests? This session dives into practical ways educators and families can nurture empathy, leadership, and civic engagement in youth. Based on real experiences of Brazilian teens who became changemakers through a Youth Volunteer Project that connects them with social impact causes and community work, this panel will offer tested strategies to help students break social bubbles, build empathy, find purpose, and take action, inside and outside the classroom.
