Spring Break at the Museum

Spend afternoons during spring break at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. Events are planned every day from March 16 to 20 between 1 and 3 p.m. to keep kids learning and entertained during their school break. Each activity is based on a specific aspect of Will Rogers' extraordinary life, ranging from his time as a cowboy to his passion for aviation. Monday includes blacksmithing demonstrations, traditional dyeing, weave spinners, lacemakers, quilters and a rare behind-the-scenes tour. Tuesday is Cowboy Day. Wednesday is aviation day with flight simulator, astronaut exhibit, helicopter visit, and paper airplane contest. Thursday celebrates Route 66 with Cars movie screening and pinewood derby. Friday features the Mid-Afternoon Frolic Talent Show.

Aviation Explorers Camp - New Campers (Level One)

A free two-week summer camp introducing students to the science of flight and diverse careers in aviation. Activities include hands-on flight instruction on FAA certified simulators, 30-minute discovery flights with certified instructors, aerodynamics testing through indoor skydiving or ziplining, engineering design challenges, rocket launches, aircraft mechanical school exploration, and meetings with aviation and cybersecurity experts. Camp runs Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM ET. Free transportation provided from National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. Lunch, snacks, and transportation to activities included.
