ArcStart - Pre-College Architecture Program

ArcStart is a pre-college, residential, architecture program that introduces high school students to the built environment, core design principles, and the academic culture of the University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning. The program runs from July 12-31, 2026. Participants engage in immersive studio environments, hands-on workshops, architectural history, design proposals, digital portfolio creation, site visits, and tours of professional architecture firms. Students will also meet with admissions teams to learn about undergraduate degrees in Architecture and Urban Technology. Housing is required at Bursley Hall on North Campus with shared rooms and residential counselors providing supervision.
