Summer Law & Trial Institute

Two-week program for high-achieving, rising high school juniors and seniors from Appalachian Ohio. Virtual sessions June 28-July 2 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily), followed by in-person week on Ohio University campus July 5-10. Students will watch Supreme Court oral arguments, visit courts, meet with attorneys and judges, litigate mock trials, and develop critical legal skills including analytical reasoning, case analysis, negotiation, and public speaking. Application requires high school transcript (3.0+ GPA preferred), essay, and letter of recommendation.
