Includes personalized attention, proven test taking strategies, test prep materials with actual questions and practice tests, and expert instructor support. Summer Promise Program

The Davidson College Summer Promise Program is a free, week-long college readiness program for rising ninth graders. This residential program provides students with a snapshot of the holistic college experience to strengthen their confidence and enthusiasm for persisting in high school and pursuing higher education. Students experience courses co-taught by Davidson faculty and teachers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Schools, and engage with co-curricular experiences and facilities at Davidson College. The program runs from June 21-27, 2026, with move-in by 2:30 p.m. on June 21 and check-out by 2:30 p.m. on June 27. Priority application deadline is March 15, with final deadline April 12.
