ARISE is a free 10-week summer research program for rising high school juniors and seniors who are NYC residents attending NYC schools. The program combines foundational training with hands-on research experience in over 80 NYU research labs. Students receive safety training, college writing workshops, research skills development, and work with faculty on real-world projects. Program includes ~120 hours of lab experience, public speaking development, college application support, and concludes with presentations at NYU and the American Museum of Natural History.

Eight-week program offering hands-on scientific research experience in biological sciences and medicine. Only 50 students chosen (3% acceptance rate). Includes neurobiology track.

8-week internship and upskilling program for Alabama high school students focusing on data analytics, AI, and career exploration. Students commit 10 hours/week to internship plus 5-10 hours/week to skills training. Covers Excel, SQL, Python, prompt engineering, AI agents, and more. Available as on-site, hybrid, or virtual opportunities across Alabama.

Exploring Climate Change Through AI and Engineering Research. Work alongside teachers and researchers as you develop and test lessons that connect students to current engineering research topics, including applied artificial intelligence systems. Participants will become part of the research team, contributing to the development of a K-12 accessible robotic imaging device. Using state-of-the-art AI tools, this project will launch a citizen science program that empowers students and educators to advance real-world research findings. Program runs June 22 - July 20, 2026 (no work on July 3, 2026). 40 hours per week commitment with 32-36 hours in research lab and 4-8 hours in professional development. Must be rising junior or senior high school student, U.S. citizen or permanent resident, provide own transportation.

Virtual, introductory program provides hands-on exposure to cancer research, faculty lectures, panel discussion and skill-building. M-F, July 13 - 24, 2026; 9:30 AM -1 PM
