Big Science Celebration

The Big Science Celebration (BSC) is a free, outdoor event featuring over 100 exhibitor stations filled with hands-on science activities hosted by STEAM professionals, researchers, and experts from Central Ohio and beyond. Held on the Scioto Peninsula surrounding COSI, this high-energy event also includes live performances, food trucks, and fun for all ages. Whether you're a science enthusiast or just curious, there's something here for everyone. Rain or shine event. COSI will be open but requires separate admission.

Summer Butterfly Count

Join us for our Summer BRDC Butterfly Count through the North American Butterfly Association! A butterfly count is an event that is organized for the purpose of identifying and counting butterflies in a specific geographical area, raising awareness and identifying any changes to butterfly habitats. The survey is scheduled from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please bring water bottle, snacks/lunch, field guide and binoculars if available. Long pants and sturdy shoes recommended. Weather dependent - alternate date will be set if conditions unsuitable. Carpooling may be necessary due to parking limitations.
