Awards to USA, Canada, and International students in grades 6 through 12 for short videos that demonstrate environmental or human welfare issues caused by population growth. Videos must focus on one of the following three global issues: energy, wetlands, and economics. This is a competition for students to create educational videos about population growth effects on the environment and society.

During five days on the Alma College campus, students develop solutions to real-world international issues through a simulation of the United Nations Security Council. Your team might work on critical issues like disease outbreaks, international terrorism, climate change, or other global concerns. Work with an exceptional group of incoming and current students - including our nationally recognized Model United Nations team - alumni mentors and expert faculty. At the Model United Nations Institute, your child can step into the shoes of global leaders and tackle pressing issues, enhance their public speaking and debate skills, get feedback from champion mentors, and make friends with talented students! In Model UN, students don't just argue to win, they learn about global issues from different perspectives and collaborate with their peers to lead and create solutions together. The program blends engaging lessons, interactive MUN simulations, public speaking labs, games, and time to socialize with friends. Your child will participate in a final simulation at the end of camp. They will represent a country, make speeches, debate, and write a resolution together.
