Hit the Switch: Making Learning Through Play Accessible

Play is our first teacher, but not all toys are accessible to all children. This work session will go through the basics of adapting "traditional" interactive stuffed animals (think "Tickle Me Elmo"). Participants will engage in hands-on practice to transform traditional toys into switch-adapted accessible toys that children of all ability levels can use. The speakers will also outline how to take switch-adapted toys and turn them into mobile literature kits that can be used across schools and communities.
