High School Journalism Workshop

The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism's annual workshop for high school journalism students and advisers started in 1946 and is one of the oldest programs in the nation. Open to high school students from rising sophomores to recent graduates. Workshop tracks include news reporting and writing, broadcast, magazine, public relations and media relations, visual storytelling, sports writing, podcasting, and sports broadcasting. The five-day program runs from July 12-16, 2026, with activities including campus tours, keynote speakers, data journalism sessions, media law sessions, baseball games, and project presentations.

Maine Media Camp
