Women in the Wild: Beeswax Candle Making (adults only 18+)

Spend the afternoon making beeswax candles to light your new year! In 2026, we are celebrating America's 250th Anniversary! We will discuss beekeeping and candle making techniques from the early days of the American colonies and today. We will try both candle dipping and candle pouring techniques using pure beeswax. Participants will leave with 6 dipped birthday candles and a small poured container candle. This program will be held indoors, and there will be hot tea and cookies! Part of the Women in the Wild monthly series of outdoor programs held at state parks throughout the Southeast. Registration opens February 2, 2026 at 8 am.
