Talking to Grandma: AI in the Age of AI: Ancestral Intelligence in Schools

In the age of Artificial Intelligence, how do we make space for the original AIs: Ancestral Intelligence and Abundant Imagination? This session draws from Ruha Benjamin's call for "Abolitionist Tools for the New Jim Code" to explore how educators can center cultural wisdom, radical imagination, and justice in their classrooms. Participants will learn how to apply abolitionist, imaginative, and culturally sustaining approaches to technology, storytelling, and learning, inspiring practices that honor both ancestral roots and future possibilities.
