BIO5 KEYS Research Internship 2026

The BIO5 Institute's annual Keep Engaging Youth in Science (KEYS) Research internship is one of Arizona's premier training programs for high school students interested in developing STEM skills. This 7-week internship allows students each summer to immerse themselves in real-world projects under the mentorship of University of Arizona scientists. Prior to engaging in research, KEYS interns complete assignments focused on science literacy, data science, and biotechnology between April and the start of the program in June. The first week includes intensive training, followed by research work with paired U of A researchers. Program concludes with a research showcase. Benefits include 3 units MCB credit and assured admission to W.A. Frankie Honors college.
