Join us in the heart of Alaska's largest city for the 2026 Mariculture Conference of Alaska, where ocean views, industry insight and collaborative energy will come together. The conference is an opportunity to engage with members of the mariculture industry, hear from experts and connect with farmers, processors, researchers, community leaders and other professionals. The goal is to support the continued development of mariculture in Alaska by reviewing accomplishments, addressing challenges, and exploring opportunities in research, innovation, education, and industry growth. The event includes workshops on March 10, conference presentations on March 10-11, and annual meetings for Alaska Mariculture Alliance and Alaska Shellfish Growers Association on March 12.

The 18th Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Conference (WAISC) brings together people invested in sharing local knowledge and science important to rural communities in Western Alaska. The 2026 conference will focus on sustaining the well-being, health and subsistence traditions central to life in Western Alaska, even as communities navigate rapid changes in the environment, ecology and local industries. Students can earn 1-2 college credits by attending. Conference runs April 7-9, 2026 with no videoconferencing. Abstracts accepted through January 30.
