Primate Evolution, Ecology and Conservation

This online course covers topics in Primatology, including primate evolution, behavior, ecology, and conservation. Features live synchronous sessions Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 12:30-2:30pm Eastern, plus asynchronous work. Includes lectures, discussions, electronic lab assignments with 3D models, and a final research project on a chosen primate species. Students will learn about biology, ecology, conservation, evolutionary adaptations, and conservation challenges. Runs for two weeks with attendance required for all live sessions. Beneficial for future studies in biology, conservation, and ecology.

Equine Science Pre-College Program

A two-week intensive program for motivated young adults seeking to explore what it takes to succeed in the horse industry. Students work with horses daily, practice equine handling techniques, meet industry professionals, and complete a research project. Program includes hands-on practicums at the university's Hadley Farm Equine Center covering horse behavior, safety training, equine reproduction, stable management, nutrition basics, and farrier science. Each student adopts a horse for the duration of the program. Class time is Monday-Friday from 9 am - 4 pm. Students must bring laptop, notebook, pens/pencils, helmet, barn boots and gloves. ASTM/SEI approved helmet required when working with horses.
