This exciting, hands-on summer camp gives youth the chance to meet real-life heroes from fire departments, law enforcement, dispatch, EMS, and other first responder agencies. Throughout the camp, different professionals will share what they do, demonstrate their equipment, and teach important safety tips. Campers will learn how first responders keep our communities safe and how they can be prepared for emergencies themselves. Every camper will build a basic emergency preparedness kit to take home. 4 sessions running Monday through Thursday.

16-hour FEMA Course 15-32936. Classroom and practical hands-on training in boat selection, recommended equipment, boat-handling, moving-water tactics, and boat-rescue techniques. Course meets NFPA 1670 technician level guidelines.
